We love and support Jasmine Alexander and Sea Shepherd

Jasmine Alexander has put everything at stake, every moment of her life, her financial resources, her very existence, into this project with one of the planet’s most authentic protection organizations, in order to save the Earth on which she, like all of us, lives!

For 40 years, Paul Watson has been telling us that “if the oceans die, we die”, and the evidence is right there in front of us: the oceans are dying, and humanity is murdering them! Jasmine is outraged, literally disgusted by the way humans see the world, every living thing being for them a mere accessory, a source of profit, a commodity!

Jasmine changed her career focus a long time ago, before it became “cool” to work with conservation groups. It’s been 27 years since she stopped consuming animal products, long before it became fashionable. It was after Jasmine that Vivienne Westwood joined Sea Shepherd’s advisory board, and after her that Stella McCartney collaborated with them!

Other designers collaborate with well-respected organizations, while Jasmine has chosen an organization that the press generally refers to as a guerrilla group, whose founder is wanted by Interpol. Other designers in her field charge for their designs and promise to donate 5 or 10% of the profits. Jasmine designed the collection free of charge and financed it entirely, even though she is neither a daughter of … nor backed by investors. 100% of the profits go to the organization, and all the money raised goes to saving lives! Jasmine doesn’t work with Sea Shepherd independently, she works WITH and FOR the group, attending weekly international meetings with the world directors and, often, with Paul Watson himself.

Jasmine isn’t the type to stay snug in her studio, accompanying the group on numerous field interventions, finding herself, for example, chasing armed fishermen over steep cliffs and slippery rocks, simply armed with a camera. This isn’t a mushy little story, it’s a passion tinged with sweat and tears and driven by a human being of unshakeable resolve who is neither blinded nor awed by the glittering world of luxury or the world of commerce in general.

As a result, she has been named an official member of Sea Sherpherd’s Advisory Board, where her friends and fellow peacemakers are Paul and Yana Watson, as well as all the organization’s worldwide directors.

Sea Shepherd has an audience of 6 million people, but those 6 million are already converts. The aim of this collaboration is to create a link with a new audience, all those people, all those young people, the Millennials, who are passionate about fashion, who consult fashion websites and magazines. The aim is to reach them, inspire them, win their support and, through them, change the world!
